About Me

Animation has always been a career path I have been deeply interested in, along with all the facets of it including character design, concept art, and storyboarding. I have a strong passion for drawing and creating. For around 5 years I have been working on many of my own creative personal projects, like comics and character design, which have built up my skills. I started by taking comic making classes as a child, which began to spark my passion for creating sequential based arts. Since then, I have made many of my own webcomics and I am continuing to work on more ideas and projects. These personal projects gave me more experience in setting up scenes and angles, as well as making me expand my abilities to work on backgrounds, and character designs.

Designing characters is where I have the most fun as a creator. I enjoy the process of looking for references then sketching and refining until the character has the look and feel I want. I have made a variety of characters over the years including small children, adults, and animals. I have also designed characters for a variety of stories including fantasy, modern, and sci-fi. I enjoy bringing my ideas life through comics and animation.

One reason I am so interested in the field of animation is because I enjoy seeing beautiful stories brought to life. Animation has so many things you can do with it that aren’t as easy to do through live action film, like pushing perspective, exaggerated character poses, and crazy creatures and effects. I enjoy seeing how far animation can be pushed. After seeing what can be made through animation, I became an animator myself so that I could bring all my creative thoughts to life. I have made my own short film, and a few rough animations in my personal time. My comic background ties into the storyboard aspect of animation because I have the skills to compose shots and create compositions. I enjoy being able to take a script and make it into dynamic shots. Expanding my professional experience is my current goal to further my career in the animation industry.
